Microblading prep
By properly preparing your skin, you will get much better results. It all starts with a good canvas! The eyebrow area must be healthy, strong, non-sensitive and non-irritated.
From skincare and tanning to types of vitamins, there are a variety of things you will need to avoid leading up to your appointment. Here is the recommended timeline to get your skin ready for the procedure:
Four weeks prior
- Discontinue the use of vitamin A/retinol products
Three weeks prior
- Stop the use of botox treatments
Two weeks prior
- Do not tan, and avoid sunburn on your face
- Do not have any type of facial or peel
One week prior
- Do not pick/tweeze/wax or perform electrolysis
- Do not take fish oil or vitamin E as they are natural blood thinners
- Do not drink alcohol 24 to 48 hours before your microblading procedure as it can cause excessive bleeding and poor color deposit
- Do not wax or tint your eyebrows in the three days prior to your appointment
Day of
- Do not work out
- Do not consume coffee before your appointment
- Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen as they are blood thinners
